HOW TO WATCH: www.facebook.com/theeugenemission, EM YouTube
In this live storytelling initiative, Executive Director Sheryl Balthrop will sit on a bench on campus for 24 straight hours and livestream one-on-one conversations with community members from all walks of life.
“The challenge of homelessness is growing locally, but that doesn’t mean we have to lose hope,” Balthrop said. “This event invites people to see past myths and engage with the reality of what it means to experience—and overcome—homelessness.”
The public is invited to watch, participate in person, or submit questions and comments online in real time. We’re inviting local leaders, pastors, families of those affected by homelessness, our guests at the Eugene Mission, and more to discuss topics that will range from addiction and recovery to policy and housing.
This local effort is part of a coordinated movement through Citygate Network — a national association of gospel missions — with more than 100 ministry CEOs participating in similar events across North America on October 8-9, 2026.
