On Independence Day, you're sure to find locals celebrating all day long. It begins with a breakfast that brings the community together in Pioneer Park and raises funds for the Brownsville Rural Fire Department fireworks. Then, people congregate in the afternoon to socialize, play family games sponsored by Connect Linn County, and watch the fireworks show, put on by the Brownsville Rural Fire District, around 10 p.m.
